Codman Farm Volunteer Opportunity

Codman Farm is a non profit farm, committed to preserving local agriculture and open spaces.  The animals are humanely raised and also used throughout the town of Lincoln.  The farm provides community gardens, delivers hay to local land so it can be seeded and maintained as conservation and not developed.  A non-profit farm relies on the needs of volunteers to maintain the good work they do for the community, so Boston teens from Havayah and Teens for Tzedek will be doing hands-on work to help this small community farm flourish – and let’s take advantage of being outside while we still can!

Time:  12-3 pm

Location:  Codman Farm of Lincoln

The Summer Israel Experience

This unique summer program brings you together with approximately thirty

other socially  conscious teens who have a desire to explore the land of

Israel through the lens of  Social Justice and Community Service.

You will easily bond with this group through  your orientations in the spring, and at the same time get ready for the task of living with twenty Israelis over the next five weeks. During the first three weeks, the  Israelis are your hosts in Haifa, where you will stay overlooking the Bahai Gardens.

You will work in the community at places like hospitals and animal shelters, and you  will also get to experience "home hospitality" by staying with the family of one of the  Israeli teens. During the next three weeks, you will reverse the process as  the whole group will come back to America to help the Israeli's explore the American Jewish Experience and our particular Social Justice Issues. This is only the tip of the  Iceberg however as you will also get the opportunity to tour, bond and learn  from each other.
