The Summer Israel Experience
This
unique summer program brings you together with approx. thirty
other
socially conscious teens who have a desire to explore the land of
Israel
through the lens of Social Justice and Community Service.
You
will easily bond with this group through your orientations in the spring,
and
at the same time get ready for the task of living with
twenty Israelis
over
the next five
weeks. During the first three
weeks, the Israelis
are your
hosts
in Haifa, where you will stay overlooking the Bahai Gardens.
You
will work in the community at places like hospitals and animal shelters, and you will
also get to experience "home hospitality" by staying with the family
of one of the Israeli teens. During the next three
weeks, you will reverse the process as the
whole group will come back to America to help the Israeli's explore the
American Jewish
Experience and our particular Social Justice Issues. This is only the tip
of the Iceberg however as you will also get the opportunity to tour, bond
and learn from each other.
