Teens for Tzedek Literacy CorpsA TeenJCC and TELEM partnership program
Spend an afternoon a week teaching a child to read and being his or her mentor. This incredibly rewarding commitment allows you to build a real relationship with the children you help. You can can choose to participate in any or all of the Fall, Winter or Spring sessions. Reserve your place NOW! Pickup from the following schools for THIS SESSION: Mondays: Newton North & Newton South Tuesdays: Norfolk Aggie and Sharon Wednesdays: Needham, Newton South and Brookline Thursdays: Newton North and Newton South / Weston Please Note: This is approx. a 10 week commitment. This unique summer program brings you together with approx. thirty other socially conscious teens who have a desire to explore the land of Israel through the lens of Social Justice and Community Service.
You will
easily bond with this group through your orientations in the spring, and at
the same time get ready for the task of living with
twenty
Israelis over
the next
five
weeks. During the first
three
weeks, the Israelis are
your hosts in Haifa, where you will stay overlooking the Bahai Gardens.
You
will work in the community at places like hospitals and animal shelters, and
you will also get to experience "home hospitality" by staying with
