Live, Learn, Work,

Play, Tour, and Explore

... with teens from Haifa, Boston's sister city in Israel, and the

Yemin Orde Youth Village in Hof HaCarmel.

Teens for Tzedek

... integrates community service, political advocacy, touring and more!

You will learn about Jewish values and Jewish living, both in Israel  and in the US.

You will strengthen your Jewish Identity while learning to make the world a better place.

“Teens for Tzedek is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had.  I’ve learned so much about myself, about Israel , and about the Jewish community in America .  It really is a once in a lifetime experience.” –Vered

Intercultural Exchange

Teens for Tzedek is an amazing intercultural exchange, connecting American and Israeli Teens through community service, touring and more!

The group spends the entire six weeks together, living, laughing, serving, and learning about social justice, Judaism

and each other.

Home Hospitality

You will share Home Hospitality weekends in both Haifa and Boston.  These Shabbat homestays, where you are first a guest and then a host, provide an authentic view of family life in each community.  Through your homestay experiences and your cultural interactions on both shores, you will make enduring friendships on this journey of a lifetime.

Tzedek Means Justice

Explore the Jewish imperative to strive for social justice and show your commitment to making the world a better place.

Work as a team with your new friends to contribute to the Haifa and Boston communities.

You will learn about the key policy issues surrounding Education, Poverty, Health Care and the Environment.  You will also meet with and lobby key decision makers in Haifa and Boston.

Tzedek Touring

Gain a deeper understanding of Israeli and American societies through interactive Tzedek touring.

In Israel you will get to know the city of Haifa, hike in the Golan, visit a Druze village, spend the night in a Bedouin tent, ride a camel, climb Masada, float in the Dead Sea, swim in the Kinneret, explore Tsfat and experience Jerusalem.

In the US, you will share local landmarks and the American spectrum of Judaism with your new Israeli friends.  You will go camping, white water rafting and kayaking in the mountains of Western Massachusetts .  You will also travel to historic Newport, Rhode Island, and spend three amazing days in New York City!

Jewish Identity

Teens for Tzedek provides a unique forum for exploring your Jewish identity through volunteering and social activism.

With the help of speakers, guided tours, and group discussions, you will be challenged to open yourself up to many different points of view.  You will be encouraged to embrace the religious and cultural diversity of everyone in the group to help promote an open and respectful environment.

Shabbat is celebrated throughout the program and Kashrut is observed at all times.

Choose from service opportunities such as:

  • Teaching students at a Haifa special needs school
